In the Cornfield!

This week our theme was In the Cornfield! We learned about what animals we find in the cornfield, the job of a scarecrow, and the meanings of the colors of harvest corn. Our favorite books were the "Peter Rabbit" series, and our favorite song and dance was "Scarecrow Scarecrow!" We enjoyed making popcorn, building our own classroom scarecrow, and making crows with our handprints.

The poem of the week was:
(Sung to the tune of "I am a Teapot)
I am a scarecrow
Made out of old clothes,
Perched in the cornfield
To scare the crows.

**Note: Next week is our canned food drive! Please bring in canned foods.
