Ice and Snow!

This week our theme was Ice, Snowflakes, and Snow! We learned all about the winter weather and shared our five senses of a snowfall. We are becoming excellent word detectives too! We are using the clues found in pictures and the beginning sounds of words to read! We became poets this week and wrote a class poem entitled "Snowfall." We used our imaginations to pretend we were snowflakes and shared where we would travel. We made our own class snowman out of balloons and glittery tissue paper. Our snowman's name is Bobby the Snowman. He has googly eyes, a bananna nose, cookies for buttons, a scarf to keep him warm, and a tophat with candy canes! He is at the front of Doodlebugs with all his snowmen friends, so don't forget to check him out!

We wrote our own New Years Resolutions!

The letter of the week was S! We were word detectives and searched around the room to find things that start with S sound.

Our handprints are on snowflakes!

We were word detectives during our word/picture matching games!
